Recently, I was a guest on the No Bad Hops! podcast, where I joined the host of the podcast, Anthony Armando (@majorleaguebrews), to talk about our favorite tri-state area beers. Each of us built a starting rotation of our five favorite brews and an additional bullpen arm. Want to know who we drafted as our aces? The food and beverage offerings at Citi Field have been updated for the 2025 season. Let’s take a look at what’s on tap as we head into the Mets’ first home stand of the year.

Alright, Alright, Alright. Honestly, I’ve never had a problem finding a good beer at Citi Field and from the looks of this list, I think I’ll be just fine this season as well.
In the craft section, there are a solid amount of New York beers from Brooklyn Brewery and Montauk. Coney Island’s taproom closed in 2023, which was a bummer, since it was a great pre-game spot ahead of a Cyclones game. So, it’s nice to see they’ve got two beers on the menu, both of which are delicious. Along with taking over the taproom space at Citi Field (formerly occupied by Mikkeller Beer), EBBS Brewing has their Kolsch No. 2 on the menu. For the hop heads out there, Fiddlehead IPA brewed by Vermont-based Fiddlehead Brewery will be available this season. Sloop Brewing’s Juice Bomb IPA? Certified Banger. I can drink this stuff all summer.
Along with having several beers on tap throughout the stadium, Maine’s Allagash Brewing will also have a dedicated bar at Citi Field. Located on the Excelsior Level in Section 311.
Non-Alcoholic Beers are hot right now for many reasons. Whether you are the designated driver or do not partake in alcoholic beverages for other reasons, there are plenty of options here. I usually have a 6-pack of Athletic Brewing Co. in my fridge for nights where I want to drink a beer without feeling any of the unwanted effects.
Baseball and Domestic beer go hand in hand. I love to be a beer snob, but I would be absolutely lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the hell out of a 25oz. can of light beer at a ballgame. It’s unfortunate that there will be no Bud Heavies at Citi Field, so I guess I’ll be trading the King of Beers for Miller Highlife, the Champagne of Beers.
Seltzers are not my thing, so I can’t really comment on this part of the menu other than saying, “Damn, that’s a lot of seltzers on the menu!”
If you’re heading to the Mets’ home opener on Friday, enjoy and drink responsibly!
